Nearly Pointless Post

Yeah, so this is going to be one of those rambling, rather pointless posts I was telling you guys about :P
[speaking of which, read the post a post down if you haven't already :P]

Well, actually, it's mostly for bragging and SQUEEING!
Because I finished painting my steampunk gun and it's awesooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooome-SAUCY-NESS!

NOW, for those of you who don't know [because, apparently, there are ACTUALLY some people out there who don't know what steampunk is] steampunk is... something like... well, it's hard to describe so here's somewhat of a definition and pic from wiki

Steampunk is a genre which originated during the 1980s and early 1990s and incorporates elements of science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, horror, and speculative fiction. It involves a setting where steam power is widely used—whether in an alternate history such as Victorian era Britain or "Wild West"-era United States, or in a post-apocalyptic time —that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy. Works of steampunk often feature anachronistic technology, or futuristic innovations as Victorians might have envisioned them, based on a Victorian perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, and art. This technology includes such fictional machines as those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or the contemporary authors Philip Pullman, Scott Westerfeld and China Mieville.
Other examples of steampunk contain alternative history-style presentations of such technology as lighter-than-air airships, analog computers, or such digital mechanical computers as Charles Babbage and Ada Lovelace's Analytical Engine.

It involves a lot of steam powered machinery, goggles, clocks, cogs, gears, pocket watches, and copper colors. :D
[This is a really awesome steampunk song I heard ages ago. I can't actually hear it here at the library, but the video looks right xD

Steampunk is awesome, seriously.

So ANYWAY, time for the showing off part :P [By the way, I intended to have one of me holding it at least, but I was rushed to take the pic, and it was blurry and looked silly, so I might try again and add a pic or two later on :P]
Ok, well, first, an explanation. My brother had started out painting a steampunk gun but he got tired of it and never finished. Recently, I was doing stuff with steampunk, and he gave it to me. So I finished it over a few days' time.
It's so beautiful 8-]

Just look at the detail and the colors and how things blend and how steampunk it is and how it looks to futuristic yet not quite and UGH, isn't it GORGEOUS?
